Encrypt and decrypt private text or files locally in your browser.
Private by design:
your message, selected file, passphrase, key file and encrypted data are processed locally
in your browser. They are not intentionally uploaded to or stored by ACREW.DK.
Important:
ACREW.DK does not have access to your passphrase or private key file and cannot
recover them for you. If you lose the passphrase or key file required to decrypt
data, that encrypted data is permanently unrecoverable.
Choose operation
Step 1
Security method
Remember or securely store this passphrase. ACREW.DK does not know it
and there is no password-reset or recovery function.
No key loaded
Keep the key file safe. In key-file mode it is the secret.
In combined mode both the key file and passphrase are required.
ACREW.DK does not have a copy and cannot replace a lost key file.
Step 2
Your message
Step 1
Load encrypted message
Load an encrypted JSON file to begin.
Step 2
Unlock message
No key loaded
Result

About the encryption
Messages and files use AES-256-GCM. Passphrase-based protection uses
PBKDF2-SHA-256 with a fresh random salt and 310,000 iterations.
A new random initialization vector is generated for every encryption.
ACREW.DK does not keep a recovery key. If a required passphrase or key
file is lost, the encrypted data may be permanently unrecoverable.
