Pac Man On The Highway

AN-26 · Blues Rock · Texas Blues-Rock Boogie · 26 August 2026

Pac-Man On The Highway is a fast, playful Texas blues rock boogie that turns life on the open road into one enormous arcade chase.

With the engine growling, the radio cranked and the accelerator planted firmly on the floor, our restless driver races toward the horizon, gobbling up mile after mile while the “ghost police” follow close behind. Every exit promises another adventure, and looking in the rear-view mirror simply isn't part of the plan.

Driven by a pounding two-step shuffle, gritty slide guitar, Hammond B3, baritone sax and walking bass, the song combines old-school blues-boogie swagger with a wonderfully ridiculous arcade-inspired metaphor. At its heart is the instantly memorable image of Pac-Man on the highway, eating up miles fast, turning the endless white lines of the road into one long trail waiting to disappear beneath the wheels.

Loud, energetic and deliberately fun, Pac-Man On The Highway is a road song with a mischievous grin — part blues-rock burner, part highway adventure and part 1980s arcade machine that somehow grew an engine and escaped into the desert.

Just keep moving.

The ghosts are gaining.

Lyrics

Engine hummin a low growl Sun in my eyes just a blur Got that white line fever Yeah a wild fur No lookin back no rearview mirror Just the wind in my hair makin it clearer Pac-Man on the highway Eating up miles fast Ghost police behind me This feeling gonna last Radio cranked up loud and proud Got my foot to the floor Every exit a new adventure Gotta explore some more Horizon stretches endless This road my only friend Pac-Man on the highway Eating up miles fast Ghost police behind me This feeling gonna last
