“F-16, Carry Me Home” is an anthemic rock tribute to an aircraft that became far more than a machine to the people who flew it.
Told through the eyes of a pilot heading into danger with the face of someone he loves tucked close to him, the song follows the journey from the quiet tension before takeoff, through the violence and uncertainty of the mission, to the moment the wheels finally touch the runway again.
At its heart, this isn't a song about speed, weapons or victory. It is about trust. Trust in the aircraft, trust in the people around you, and the hope that when the mission is over, the F-16 will carry you back to the people waiting at home.
Driven by arena-sized guitars, military-flavoured drums and a powerful baritone vocal, the song builds toward a homecoming where medals and glory suddenly seem very small compared with a familiar doorway and a pair of waiting arms.
“F-16, Carry Me Home” is a salute to an aircraft reaching the end of its service with Denmark — and to the pilots, crews and families for whom the sound of an F-16 returning to the runway meant one very simple thing:
Someone came home.

Lyrics
Before the sun could rise
We strapped in and said our prayers
Canopy down, hearts steady
Steel bird waiting in the air
One more run through the valley
One more chance to do what’s right
With your face tucked in my pocket
I held you close through the flight
If fear came knocking, I let it wait
If doubt came calling, I answered straight
We go where the line gets thin
And trust the hands that brought us in
F-16, carry me home
Through the fire, through the stone
If I fall, remember my name
I stood my watch in the flame
F-16, carry me home
Back to the door I know
Over dust and shattered morning
Over fields that turned to gray
I kept one thought beside me
I’ll see your face another day
There were moments, sharp and silent
When the world went red and loud
Still I held the course you gave me
Still I wore that promise proud
If fear came knocking, I let it wait
If doubt came calling, I answered straight
We go where the line gets thin
And trust the hands that brought us in
F-16, carry me home
Through the fire, through the stone
If I fall, remember my name
I stood my watch in the flame
F-16, carry me home
Back to the door I know
And when the wheels met earth again
I heard the old world breathe
Boots on the runway, one deep breath
Then your arms around me
No medal shines brighter
No thunder stays so long
Than the light in your doorway
When the battle’s finally gone
F-16, carry me home
Through the fire, through the stone
If I fall, remember my name
I stood my watch in the flame
F-16, carry me home
Back to the door I know
Back to your arms, back to your song
Where I was always meant to belong
