Cheap Whisky
Cheap Whisky is a road-worn Texas blues-rock boogie about a man who keeps moving because stopping would mean facing everything he left behind.
With a motorcycle beneath him, a lost love in his memory and trouble somewhere in the rearview mirror, he rides through the night carrying more regret than luggage. Cheap whisky and the light of a full moon aren't a celebration — they're simply companions on a long road while he tries to put enough miles between himself and the man he used to be.
But beneath the dust, scars and outlaw imagery, Cheap Whisky is ultimately a hopeful song.
The narrator isn't running toward destruction. He's searching for a way back. Every mile costs him something, but it also strips away another piece of the past. Somewhere beyond the next county line there might still be a road that belongs to him — and perhaps even a way home.
Driven by a rolling blues-rock boogie groove and the restless spirit of the open highway, Cheap Whisky is about heartbreak, endurance and refusing to disappear when life has taken nearly everything else.
One eye on heaven.
